China vehicle quotation checklist: specification, years and costs
Prepare a useful vehicle export enquiry: distinguish model year from manufacture year, specify the destination and quantity, and compare quotation costs on the same basis.

A precise request reduces repeated questions and makes quotations easier to compare. Use this checklist for a catalogue vehicle or a vehicle you want GD Star Auto to source.
Vehicle identity and specification
- Brand, model and exact variant; send a product link or a reference photograph if available.
- Model year or model generation, plus the required year of manufacture.
- New or used condition; for used vehicles, acceptable mileage and known condition requirements.
- Powertrain, battery or engine specification, transmission, steering position, seats and colour.
- Required equipment, destination compatibility and documents your broker has identified.
The model year describes the model or variant series. The year of manufacture describes when the vehicle was built. A 2024/2025 model series manufactured in 2026 can therefore be correctly described with both values. Do not treat them as interchangeable. At order confirmation, match the actual vehicle's identification and manufacturing records to the specification.
Quantity, destination and commercial terms
Specify your initial quantity and any later batch plan. Name the destination country, city, port or land handover point, rather than only a broad region. State a preferred Incoterms rule and named place if you have one, and ask for alternatives where the route is undecided. Include a desired shipment date and whether it is flexible.
MOQ and stock depend on the request. An advertised vehicle is not automatically reserved. Colour, variant, allocation and quote validity need written confirmation.
Compare the same cost components
- Vehicle value, quantity, currency and quotation validity.
- Inland collection and transport, inspection, terminal handling and export document fees.
- International freight, insurance, named delivery point and any excluded services.
- Destination taxes, approval, customs broker charges and local delivery responsibilities.
- Payment milestones, cancellation arrangements and the agreed delivery estimate.
Two prices cannot be compared reliably if one includes freight and another is vehicle-only. Ask for a fee breakdown and confirm whether destination expenses are estimates or included obligations. Your importer or broker should check the local calculation for the exact vehicle.

No. Check the stated price basis and obtain a current written quotation. Freight, insurance, destination taxes and local services are included only when explicitly listed.
Can I request a model that is not in the catalogue?
Yes. Use the sourcing enquiry and send the exact specification, quantity and destination. Our team will check availability and the proposed export arrangements before quoting.
